摘 要:三本体之复杂性作为问题问:如果说“复杂的就不是一”,“是一就不是复杂的”,那么该如何理解“事物自身既是乾坤一元又是自具复杂性”的呢?答:本体内含的复杂性质唯有落在本体的浑然大用流行或变化的全体上说,才能说到其实相。因为流行变化不是从无而来,而必是起于内部的复杂性质的交相作用。没有这些交相作用,本体就还不是“全体流行”或变化。Grounded in China's cultural and academic traditions,Chinese ethics is the study of what arises from habits to help understand how to live appropriately.Soaked in its classic scholarship,Chinese ethics comprehends the relationship of tian天and ren人(nature and humans)and universe and life as a whole,embodying both the nature of general ethics and the characteristics of culture and academia.Chinese ethics thus has its roots and origins.Its roots lie in China's cultural and academic traditions,while its origins stem from“the one consistent Dao”of universe and life.Its roots and origins are inseparable.Chinese ethics emerged and grew very early in history,and have deep roots in Chinese culture.Despite this,Chinese ethics has not yet acquired an independent disciplinary form in modern academia.This,however,does not mean that we must abandon it.On the contrary,we ought to develop a deep understanding of its roots and origins,if we want to find appropriate expressions of it as a modern discipline.The nature of Chinese ethics mainly lies in the following aspects.First,it is integral to Chinese philosophy;it takes the to-on of tian and ren as a single rather than a double being,and that of universe and life as a perpetually inexhaustible and totalistic flow;it takes this to-on and the totalistic flow of its function also as single rather than double.Second,it believes this to-on to contains two opposite but complementary forces of qian乾and kun坤or xin心(heart-mind)and matter,and it regards qian or xin as the more dominant force among these two pairs.Third,it takes the realization of original xin or benevolence as a discovery based on a lively recognition of its vital identification with heaven and earth and everything in-between;though it acknowledges that the original xin or benevolence is often influenced by the habitual xin,it takes the former as always resistant to being changed by external objects.Fourth,it understands the Confucian doctrines about Dao as centered on benevolence and emphasizing sincere sel
