社会学视角下的《蒙古秘史》中人名性别范畴

摘　　要：性别范畴作为人类类别思维的认知,是用二分法来分类社会和自然界千万种现象的基本理据。最初,性别范畴源于自然性别的符号。随着人类社会的发展,古代哲学思想也反映了物种起源方面从一元论发展到二元论,“阴阳二元”也成为了人类认知的基本理据。在语言中,这一理论体现在“语言中的性别范畴”之中,它不仅为语言的审美提供了对称性,也是哲学理论“阴阳二元”的基础。人名作为一种社会文化现象,承载着人们对两性的认知与理解。《蒙古秘史》中的人名同样体现了这一性别范畴,并具有自己的结构和特点。在《蒙古秘史》中,与官职、称谓、绰号相结合的姓名以及采用动物或物体命名的姓名中都存在明显的性别范畴现象。因此,《蒙古秘史》中的人名性范畴能够反映出中世纪时期的蒙古人对两性的认知以及思想理念。Gender categories,as a cognitive aspect of human categorical thinking,serve as the fundamental rationale for classifying the diverse phenomena in society and nature through a binary system.Initially,gender categories originated from symbols representing natural sex.With the development of human society,ancient philosophical thought reflected a transition from monism to dualism in theories of species origin.The"Yin-Yang dualism"also became a basic cognitive principle for humans.In language,this theory manifests in the"gender category in language,"which not only provides symmetry for the aesthetics of language but also forms the basis of the philosophical"Yin~Yang dualism.Personal names,as a social and cultural phenomenon,carry the understanding and cognition of both genders within a society.The names of characters in the Secret History of the Mongols also reflect this gender category,exhibiting their own structure and characteristics.In the Secret History of the Mongols,gender categories are evident in names that are combined with official titles,nicknames,or animal/object-based naming.Therefore,the gender categories in the personal names within the Secret History of the Mongols can reflect the medieval Mongolian understanding of gender and their ideological concepts.
