摘  要:Insect pests possess an effective innate immune system consisting of cellular and humoral facets that operate in a more or less coordinated way to protect against invading pathogens(Ma et al.2024).As a counter-strategy,pathogens have evolved numerous mechanisms to overcome the innate immune response(Eleftherianos et al.2022;Yang et al.2024).Therefore,the success of microbial pathogen-derived insecticides essentially depends on their ability to effectively and efficiently overcome the host immune pressure for propagation(Liu et al.2017;Tu et al.2023).A great variety of pathogens have specialized to infect insect pests,and many have been utilized as bio-insecticides in agronomic pest management,such as the entomopathogenic fungal genera Metarhizium and Beauveria for control of lepidopteran and coleopteran pests(Meyling&Eilenberg 2007).However,these existing measures are insufficient for the efficient control of the vast populations of insect pests.
