不确定性情境下商业生态系统的演变——基于实物期权理论的案例研究

摘　　要：商业生态系统构建是跨界竞争时代企业应对不确定性的战略行为。现有研究多将不确定性视为风险或威胁,故将其作为研究情境,鲜少纳入研究模型。由于不确定性增加了商业生态系统的期权价值,基于实物期权理论,探究内生和外生不确定性如何影响核心企业商业生态系统的构建及动态演变。通过对3D打印行业领军企业先临三维的纵向案例研究发现,环境不确定性和企业战略行为之间会交替互动,企业在内生不确定性和外生不确定性的共同影响下选择不同实物期权组合,推动商业生态系统成员和结构变化,从实物期权视角拓展了商业生态系统的演变机理研究。Constructing a business ecosystem is the firms’strategic move to navigate uncertainty in the era of cross-border competition.Most existing studies regard uncertainty as a threat,and focus on exploring how single or several antecedents affect the construction of business ecosystems in the context of uncertainty,while overlooking its influence on firm actions.This study posits that uncertainty enhances the option value within business ecosystems and leverages real options theory to investigate the impact of both endogenous and exogenous uncertainties on both the construction of business ecosystem and its evolution.Through a longitudinal case study of Shining 3D,a frontrunner in the 3D printing industry,we reveal that environmental uncertainty and corporate strategic behavior reciprocally influence each other.Firms select diverse real option portfolios under the interplay of these uncertainties so as to catalyze changes in the composition and structure of business ecosystems.This research extends our understanding of the business ecosystem evolution from the perspective of real options theory.
