摘　　要：听力水平是衡量英语学习者总体语言能力的重要因素,而在语言学习的四项基本技能听、说、读、写中,听力理解是学生最难掌握的一项技能,也是CET-4考试中的难点题型。学生具备扎实的语音、语法、词汇知识之外,还需具备丰富的文化背景知识,才能在短时间内快速理解听力材料。研究以语境理论为指导,总结如何运用语境理论进行解题的方法,探讨该理论在听力教学中的应用,从而真正提高学生的听力理解能力。Listening proficiency is an important factor in measuring the overall language ability of foreign language learners.Among the four basic language skills of language learning,listening comprehension is the most challenging skill for students and is also a difficult question type in the CET-4 exam.In addition to having a solid foundation in phonetics,grammar,and vocabulary,students also need to possess extensive cultural knowledge to quickly understand listening materials in a short period of time.Guided by the context theory,this study summarizes the methods of applying the context theory in listening teaching,thus truly improving students'listening comprehension ability.
