《大学》英译及其海外传播与影响研究

摘　　要：《大学》英译已有两百年历史,各类英译本在海外已有一定传播。本研究采用文献梳理、网络数据调查和数据统计等研究方法,考察《大学》英译史,从再版重印、网络读者评价、谷歌学术引用、世界图书馆馆藏等视角统计研究《大学》英译本在海外的传播,从网络读者书评和杂志书评研究《大学》英译本在海外的影响。研究发现:《大学》共有23种英译本,译者包括来华传教士、西方汉学家及中国或华裔学者,理雅各、林语堂、陈荣捷和庞德的译本传播范围较广,影响较大,其他译本流传度有限;来自专业或非专业的读者书评总体较少,其接受度有待进一步推广。Daxue has a translationhistory in English for more than 200 years,and its relevant translated works have been widely spread and influenced people across the globe,on which little research has been carried out.With the research methods of literature analysis,big data retrieval and statistical analysis,this study investigates the English translation history of Daxue and its dissemination around the world from the perspectives of republications and reprints of translated works,comments of online readers,citations and worldwide library collections.This study also explores its influence among readers based on reviews and comments from online platforms and journals.It is found that the 23 English versions of Daxue are translated by missionaries,Westem Sinologists and Chinesescholars.Translations from James Legge,Lin Yutang,Wing-Tsit Chan,and Ezra Pound spread widely,while others are less accepted among foreign readers.Reviews in journals are small in number,which indicates that measures should be taken to further promote the dissemination and influence of Daxue overseas.
