摘 要:英国大学产生于中世纪,而英国的师资培训机构直到19世纪才出现,随着普及教育运动的推广以及中小学对教师的需求量大增,古典大学开始缓慢、渐进地涉及教师教育领域。与古典大学相比,20世纪初兴起的城市大学对教师教育的兴趣更浓,后者加速了英国教师教育的大学化进程。20世纪40年代,英国大学凭借自身的学术声誉、学位授予权等优势,逐渐走入了教师教育体系的中心,开创了以学术为导向的教师教育模式。20世纪80年代,英国政府基于提升教师教育质量的迫切愿望,推行了以学校为基础的教师教育改革。虽然这一政策打破了英国大学对教师教育的主导,但在以能力向标准的政策转变过程中,英国大学规模再次扩张,重新掌握了教师教育改革的主动权,成为英国教师教育的主体,并引领了21世纪教师专业化发展的潮流。大学在英国教师教育体系中的角色嬗变不仅展现了英国政府对高质量教师教育的不懈追求,而且体现了大学对于提升教师教育质量的重要意义。British universities were born in the Middle Ages,while British teacher training institutions did not appear until the 19th century.With the promotion of the universal education movement and the increasing demand for teachers in primary and secondary schools,classical universities began to slowly and gradually involve themselves in the field of teacher education.Compared with classical universities,the civic universities that arose in the early 20th century showed more interest in teacher education,which accelerated the process of the university of teacher education in Britain.In the 194Os,British universities gradually entered the center of teacher education system by virtue of their academic reputation and degree granting power,and created an academically oriented teacher education model.In the 198Os,the British government carried out school-based teacher education reform based on the urgent desire to improve the quality of teacher education.Although this policy broke the dominance of British universities in teacher education,in the process of the policy shift from competence to standards,the scale of British universities expanded again,regained the initiative of teacher education reform,became the main body of British teacher education,and led the trend of teacher professional development in the 21st century.The evolution of the role of universities in the British teacher education system not only shows the British government's unremitting pursuit of high-quality teacher education,but also reflects the important significance of universities in improving the quality of teacher education.
