摘　　要：道格拉斯·韦普尔斯是美国图书馆学界阅读研究领域的重要人物。通过梳理韦普尔斯的著述,发现其将社会科学的研究方法引入到阅读研究中,在阅读研究价值、视角、内容方面取得重要成果,完善了对阅读兴趣、阅读行为和阅读效果相关理论的研究。他的研究对当时的阅读研究和图书馆学的发展都起到了积极的推动作用,对我国阅读研究的深入开展具有参考与借鉴意义。Douglas Waples was a leading figure in the field of reading research within American Library Science.By reviewing Waples works,it is found that he introduced social science research methods into reading research,achieving important results in the value,perspectives,and content of reading research.He improved the research on theories related to reading interests,reading behavior,and reading effects.His research played a positive role in promoting the development of reading research and library science at that time,and has reference significance for the in-depth development of reading research in China.
