Objective To explore the correlation between the degree of cognitive dysfunction and psychological well-being and feelings of inadequacy in patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 109 patients with schizophrenia admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to March 2024 were selected as subjects.According to the Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)scores, patients were divided into a mild impairment group and a severe impairment group. The general well-being schedule(GWB)and the feelings of inadequacy scale(FIS)were used to evaluate patients'well-being and feelings of inadequacy. The correlation between well-being,feelings of inadequacy, and cognitive dysfunction was analyzed. Results Scores on the GWB and FIS scales across all domains and total scores were higher in the mild impairment group than in the severe impairment group(P<0.05).Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that the degree of cognitive dysfunction was negatively correlated with well-being(P<0.05)and positively correlated with feelings of inadequacy(P<0.05).Conclusion The degree of cognitive dysfunction in patients with schizophrenia is closely related to their well-being and feelings of inadequacy.Effective measures to improve cognitive function could play a positive role in enhancing psychological well-beingandreducingfeelings of inadequacy.
