摘 要:作为一种跨文化的交际行为,外宣翻译不仅是语言的转换过程,更是文化移植和文化交融的过程。本文援引数例外宣翻译文化误读的实例,对准确性进行了多维解读和阐述,认为外宣翻译的准确性指的是信息维、语言维、文化维、语用维等多个维度上的准确。外宣译者必须考虑到目的语读者的思维习惯和文化心理,贴近目的语的修辞规范和文本惯例,满足目的语受众的信息需求和审美诉求,顺应对外传播的生态环境,努力做好文化沟通和文化传真的角色。肩负着传播中国,说明中国使命的外宣工作者既大有作为,又任重道远。The translation for China’s Global Communication is by no means a mere transfer of information from Chinese to English, but rather a cross-culture communicative act. Owing to the gregarious linguistic and cultural differences inherent in the two languages, the neglect of which, consciously or unconsciously, gives rise to cultural misunderstanding among the receptors. It follows that translation accuracy has proven to be a must for China’s global communication. This paper makes a multi-dimensional analysis of the translation accuracy at information, wording, cultural and pragmatic levels respectively. In this connection, Chinese translators need to take the target receptors’ cultural psyche and way of thinking into consideration when rendering the Chinese publicity materials into English, with the mere purpose of suiting the text conventions and rhetoric norms of the target culture as well as satisfying the needs of gaining information and aesthetic pursuits of the target receptors. Translators, as a result, must fulfill the role of cultural transmission in this great undertakings of advertising China to the world.
