摘  要:本文以Evans提出的认知组构语义学及其核心概念--认知模库和词汇概念为理论框架,对北京传统商业街琉璃厂、大栅栏等地店铺英语翻译中存在的语义失误进行解释分析,指出:存在语义失误的根本原因在于对汉英词汇认知模库映射错误或忽略了文化因素对认知模库映射的影响。The present research takes Evans’Theory of Lexical Concepts and Cognitive Models(LCCM theory)and its basic concepts such as cognitive sets and lexical representation as the theoretical framework,to analyze some semantic mistakes in the English translation of the store names in traditional Beijing shopping areas like Liuli Chang and Da Shila.It is illustrated that the wrong projection of cognitive sets of Chinese and English words and neglecting the influence of culture are the main reasons leading to the semantic mistakes.
