For wing-mounted aircraft, the pylon is locate between nacelle and the outer wing, which is used to sus⁃pend the engine, provide system installation space and reduce aerodynamic drag.According to survivable crash statistics, after a crash, the number of deaths caused by fuel tank fires is higher than the number of deaths caused by the crash itself. In the event of a crash, the nacelle may touch the ground, and if the engine is not thrown away in time,it may cause tearing of the wing fuel tank, resulting in oil leakage and fire. Therefore, the airworthiness provisions stipulate that in the event of an overloaded landing, the pylon must be designed to disconnect in case of overload,in order to protect the integrity of the wing fuel tank and prevent oil leakage from causing fires. This paper mainly relies on relevant airworthiness provisions to verify and study emergency break-away for the pylon, proposes a complete analysis and experimental verification method, and verifies through emergency break-away tests that a certain type of aircraft pylon emergency break-away pin meets airworthiness requirements, providing a reference for the design and compliance verification of civil aircraft pylon emergency break-away.
