摘　　要：2024年美国历史学家组织年会的主题是“公共对话、相关性与变革:为共同体和国家服务”。美国史学近年来深受身份政治的影响。在种族和族裔史方面,黑人史和奴隶制研究仍独领风骚,对拉丁裔美国人、亚裔美国人和印第安人历史的讨论也数量众多,反映了族裔政治和史学的密切关系。有关性少数群体的研究方兴未艾,或将成为美国史学的一大增长点。政治史和早期史在题材、方法和路径上新旧交织,不少研究从现实出发,试图追寻美国政治极化和冲突的历史根源。美国历史学家面对社会危机的焦虑促成其学术身份的转换,积极与公众展开对话,但也容易落入“现时主义”的陷阱。从目前来看,美国史学会在和多元文化主义、族裔政治、身份政治的互动中继续发展,作为中国学者应对此保持清醒的身份意识。The theme of the 2024 annual conference of the Organization of American Historians is“Public Dialogue,Relevance,and Change:Being in Service to Communities and the Nation”.American history has been deeply influenced by identity politics in recent years.In the field of racial and ethnic history,the African American history and slavery studies continue to dominate.There are also a large number of discussions on the histories of Latino Americans,Asian Americans,and Native Americans,which reflects the close relationship between ethnic politics and history.The research on sexual minorities is burgeoning and is likely to become a major growth area in American history.In the fields of political history and early American history,old and new elements are intertwined in terms of themes,methods,and approaches.Many studies attempt to trace the historical roots of political polarization and conflicts in the United States from the reality.The anxiety of American historians in the face of social crisis has contributed to the transformation of their academic identities,and they are actively engaging in dialogues with the public.However,they are also easily fell into the trap of“presentism”.For now,the study of American history continues to develop through its interaction with multiculturalism,ethnic politics,and identity politics.As Chinese scholars,we should maintain a clear sense of our own identity.
