摘 要:本文介绍第54届国际物理奥林匹克竞赛理论考试的第二道题。该题以离子囚禁和原子冷却问题为背景,讨论这两个重要应用中的基础模型,并引导计算一些重要结论。题目分为两个部分:第一部分关注离子囚禁中的保罗阱(PaulTrap)模型,重点是带电粒子在高频电场调制下达到动态稳定平衡,因而被囚禁;第二部分是利用原子吸收光,利用多普勒效应使得原子对两侧光有不同吸收而产生动量转移,以此达到对原子减速进而冷却。题目理论模型清晰,引导推断合理,需要一定计算和近似能力。This paper introduces the second question of the theoretical examination of the 54th International Physics Olympiad.The question is set against the background of ion trapping and atomic cooling,discussing the fundamental models of these two important applications and guiding the derivation of some significant conclusions.The question is divided into two parts:the first part focuses on the Paul Trap model in ion trapping,with an emphasis on the dynamic equilibrium achieved by charged particles under the modulation of a high-frequency electric field,which leads to their confinement.The second part involves the use of atomic ab-sorption of light,utilizing the Doppler effect to create differential absorption of light on either side of the atom,resulting in momentum transfer and subsequent deceleration and cooling of the atom.The theoretical model presented in the question is clear,the guided inferences are reasonable,and it requires a certain level of computational and approximation skills.
