国内主流英文报纸《中国日报》的海南形象话语建构研究

摘　　要：以我国主流英文报纸《中国日报》(China Daily)2020年1月至2021年5月涉及海南相关议题的报道为语料,从报道主题、话语方式和话语态度几个方面考察海南形象的建构。研究发现,《中国日报》对海南相关议题报道呈现波动变化态势,平均月报道数量为20篇;篇幅以中短篇幅为主,政治和经济类议题倾向选择中长篇幅,其余议题的报道篇幅较短;从主题看,《中国日报》更侧重政治、经济建设和社会民生类的主题,对科教文体、生态旅游等方面报道较少。从话语态度上看,关于海南的文化、政治、经济等主题报道以积极形象建构为主,仅有少量自然灾害主题和社会议题报道以中立和消极形象出现。This paper uses the reports on Hainan-related topics in China Daily from January 2020 to May 2021 as its corpus to examine the construction of Hainan’s image through themes,discursive approaches,and attitudinal orientations.The study finds that China Daily’s coverage of Hainan fluctuated,with an average of 20 articles per month.Most reports were medium to short in length,while political and economic topics leaned toward medium-to-long length;in terms of themes,China Daily prioritized politics,economic development,and social welfare and people’s livelihoods,with limited coverage of science,education,culture,and sports,and eco-tourism.In terms of discourse attitude,the reports on Hainan’s culture,politics,economy portrayed a predominantly positive image,with only a few articles on natural disasters and social issues adopting neutral or negative tones.
