摘　　要：The study of China's overseas transportation began in the 1920s and entered a new phase in the Reform and Opening-up period,with remarkable achievements made in materials compilation,cultural relics archaeology,and specialized research.In the 1980s,United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO),aiming to promote cultural exchange worldwide,initiated the"Integral Study of the Silk Roads:Roads of Dialogue",which categorized the Silk Road into overland and sea routes,formally recognizing the"Maritime Silk Road".
