摘　　要：日本京都大学东方文化研究所于1938至1945年间对云冈石窟进行考察,并于上世纪50年代出版调查报告《云冈石窟》,同时推出英译本。《云冈石窟》英文版为西方世界了解云冈石窟提供了便利,但经过对读发现英文版与日文版不仅存在行文繁简之别,内容信息和观点也时有不同。这些区别有的是英译者失误所致,有的则反映了作者间的意见分歧,以及《云冈石窟》日文版本身的修改痕迹。The Institute of Oriental Culture at Kyoto University in Japan conducted a systematic investigation of the cave-temples of Yungang from 1938 to 1945,and published Yun-kang in the 1950s,along with an English edition.The English edition has provided convenience for the Western world to understand Yungang culture,but after reading it,it was found that there are not only differences in writing style between the English and Japanese versions,but also differences in content information and viewpoints.Some of these differences are due to errors made by the translator,while others reflect differences of opinion among the authors and traces of revisions made to Yun-Kang itself.
