摘 要:Both microbiota and carcinogens play crucial roles in tumorigenesis, yet the effect of microbes on carcinogen biotransformation remains poorly understood.Roje et al.(2024)provide new insights into microbe-carcinogen interactions, demonstrating that intestinal microbiota drives bladder cancer development by modulating the metabolism of the carcinogen N-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl)-nitrosamine(BBN).
