Oblique photogrammetric modeling technology is an emerging one developed in recent years.Compared to traditional modeling method, based on the models constructed by POS,it exhibits high fidelity and efficiency characteristics. To solve the problem that the newly constructed buildings in Guilin City may obstructed the surrounding scenic landscapes, the simulation technology is employed to conduct visibility analysis of the surrounding environment.Adjusting building heights aims to achieve harmony with the surrounding environment.Taking a specific area in Guilin as an example,to simulate the impact of planned buildings on mountain visibility,a combination of drone-based oblique photogrammetric modeling and traditional SketchUp software modeling is utilized. Both models are collaboratively imported into the LocaSpace Viewer platform where the software simulates human eye perspectives to conduct visibility analysis of the 3D scene from various angles. The results include the obstruction effects of different building heights on the mountains and the visibility of the mountains from key points within the 3D scene. It provides a reference solution for urban building height control analysis in city planning.
