摘　　要：方法论的厘清与完善是应急管理学科迈向成熟的必经之路。结合现有应急管理研究积累,本文认为经典案例分析构成了一种独特的研究路径。经典案例具有社会影响重大、研究素材齐全、知识生产连续的总体特征,具备超越一般性案例分析的生命力和研究价值。经典案例分析一方面是应急管理“现场”较难进入的必然选择,另一方面也契合应急管理研究向纵深跨学科发展的总体趋势。以“卡特里娜”飓风和“5·12”汶川地震为例,可初步对比经典案例分析在中英文应急管理研究中的演进发展与尚存不足。面向未来的应急管理研究,在方法论层面,经典案例分析既是跨学科性与反思性的重要表征,也需要在进一步发展中寻找提升边际贡献的有效抓手。Clarifying and refining methodologies is an essential step for the maturation of emergency management as a discipline.Based on the accumulation of existing emergency management research,this paper posits that classic case analysis constitutes a unique research path.Classic cases,characterized by significant social impact,comprehensive research materials,and continuous knowledge production,possess vitality that surpasses general cases.On one hand,classic case analysis is a necessary choice given the difficulty of accessing the“field”in emergency management;on the other hand,it aligns with the overall trend of in-depth development in emergency management research.By comparing the evolution and existing shortcomings of classic case analysis in academic research on emergency management in China and abroad,using Hurricane Katrina and Wenchuan Earthquake as examples,its development could be observed.Looking towards the future of emergency management research,classic case analysis is not only an important representation of interdisciplinarity and reflexivity but also requires effective measures to enhance marginal contributions through ongoing discussion and development.
