多模态隐喻视角下中华屋脊兽艺术研究

摘　　要：多模态隐喻的研究对象大多局限于现代视听材料,鲜有针对古代建筑实体的剖析。屋脊兽是中国房屋建筑的一张靓丽名片,作为古代建筑屋顶上安放的构件,兼具审美与实用功能,隐喻意义丰富,是集图像、色彩、线条、空间布局等多重交际媒介为一体的多模态符号系统。本文基于认知语言学,运用多模态隐喻的相关理论,探讨屋脊兽包含的多模态隐喻表征类型和映射机制,在诠释其蕴含的文化内涵的同时,也对同类型的实体建筑分析与解读提供参考,助力屋脊兽相关优秀古建筑文化走出国门。Research subjects of multi-modal metaphor are mostly confined to modern audio-visual materials,while there is little relevant analysis of ancient architectural entities.The ridge beast is an unique feature in ancient Chinese architecture.As a component placed on the roof of ancient Chinese buildings,the ridge beast is both aesthetic and practical,boasting plenty of metaphorical meanings,which is a multi-modal symbol system integrating multiple communicative symbols such as images,colors,lines,and spatial layouts.From the perspective of cognitive linguistics,this paper applies relevant theories of multi-modal metaphor to explore representational types and mapping mechanisms of multi-modal metaphors contained in the ridge beast,which not only interprets cultural connotations behind it,but also provides a reference for the analysis and the interpretation of physical buildings of the same type,as well as further helps excellent ancient Chinese architectural culture related to the ridge beast to spread externally.
