“也罢”的用法与语义功能探析

摘　　要：现代汉语常用词典中对“也罢”的释义比较一致,但对其性质的认识有分歧,或列为一个词条,注为助词;或列为两个词条,仅将其一列为助词,把列为助词的“也罢”释义为“表示在任何条件下结果都如此”,该义实为“也罢”所在句式的意义。本文通过对实例的考察,分析虚词“也罢”在三种语境下的具体用法和意义功能,从其语境意义和功能的浮现中概括出其基本语义功能——表让步情态,同时兼有表祈使、列举、关联等话语篇章功能。本个案分析具有方法论意义,即研究多功能虚词时应区分其基本语义功能和语境中浮现的意义和功能,才能更适用于辞书编撰和虚词教学与研究。The definitions of"yěbà"(也罢)in commonly used modern Chinese dictionaries are relatively consistent,but there are differences in the understanding of its nature.It may be listed as one entry and annotated as an auxiliary word;or it may be listed as two entries,with only one of them listed as an auxiliary word.The"yěbà"(也罢)listed as an auxiliary word is defined as"indicating that the result is the same under any conditions",but this meaning is actually the meaning of the sentence pattern in which"yěbà"(也罢)is located.Through the investigation of examples,this paper analyzes the specific usages,meanings and functions of the function word"yěbà"(也罢)in three contexts,and generalizes its basic semantic function from the emergence of its contextual meanings and functions expressing a concessive mood,and at the same time having discourse and text functions such as expressing imperative mood,enumeration,and connection.This case analysis has methodological significance,that is,when studying multi-functional function words,it is necessary to distinguish their basic semantic functions from the meanings and functions that emerge in the context,so as to be more applicable to the compilation of dictionaries and the teaching and research of function words.
