段玉裁《论语》研究考略

摘　　要：段玉裁对《论语》的研究主要集中在《说文解字注》中。段氏在给许慎《说文解字》作注的过程中,大量征引《论语》中的材料,主要目的是阐释、证明《说文》,其中也包含着段玉裁对《论语》的诸多研究。《论语》流传千载,错讹颇多,段氏明确指出了传世本《论语》的多处错讹。段玉裁精通因声求义之学理,精审考辨出《论语》中诸多用字之本字,使得一些千百年来的疑难问题涣然冰释。《论语》虽为当时之口语,然而距离久远,后人对其中的某些词语难有确诂,段氏从词义引申以及语境等不同角度加以训释,有的已成定论。段玉裁学殖深厚,对《论语》的见解绝大部分可信,然而有些观点亦值得商榷。Duan Yucai's academic achievements of The Analects are mainly elaborated in his Notes on Analytical Dictionary of Chinese Characters.In the process of Duan's adding notes to Analytical Dictionary of Chinese Characters,agreat deal of materials have been quoted from The Analects,aiming to interpret Analytical Dictionary of Chinese Characters and include his studies on The Analects.Having been passed down for thousands of years,the transmitted version of The Analects contains many errors,which have been clearly identified by Duan.Excelled in inquiring meaning through sound,Duan meticulously examined and determined the original characters used in The Analects,thereby resolving many difficult questions that had puzzled scholars for centuries.Although The Analects reflects the colloquial language of its time,the long passage of time has made it challenging for later generations to interpret certain terms accurately.Duan provided explanations from various perspectives,including semantic extension and context,and some of his interpretations have become settled conclusions.With the profound knowledge and a high level of academic accomplishment,Duan Yucai's insights into The Analects are largely credible,although some of his viewpoints are still open to discussion.
