摘　　要：格罗塞《艺术起源》所用的“材料”,不是历史学与考古学的“史料”;西方艺术起源“五说”,也无法解决中国艺术起源及其发展演变规律,更不能揭示中国艺术精神。西方艺术起源说与中国艺术起源及其艺术没有关系。艺术学的中国之问,首要的就是研究中国艺术起源。唯有回答中国艺术起源之问,才能真正理解和阐释中国艺术精神及其宏大内涵。中国艺术起源与中华文明的历史紧密相关,文明诞生的地方就是艺术起源的地方。用古天文学知识体系掌握了宇宙的运行规律,由此建立起社会礼仪制度,产生宇宙观及其深邃的哲学思想,才能称为“文明”。反映古天文学的考古遗址及其遗存,如玉器、彩陶、蚌塑等造物器及各种纹样,就是早期物质化的文明形态,同时也是艺术形态,艺术起源的答案就在这里。The"materials"used in Ernst Grosse's The Beginnings of Art are not literatures grounded in history or archaeology.The major Western theories on the origin of art fail to address the origins and patterns of Chinese art and are even less capable of revealing spirit of Chinese art.These Western theories bear no real relation to the origins or nature of Chinese art.One of the most fundamental questions for art studies in China is to investigate the origin of Chinese art.Only by answering this question can we truly understand and interpret the spirit of Chinese art and its profound connotations.The origin of Chinese art is closely tied to the history of Chinese civilization:where civilization began,so too did art.When ancient astronomy interpreted cosmic laws,it led to the establishment of social rituals and institutions,and gave rise to a cosmology and its philosophy—this is what constitutes"civilization".Archaeological sites and artifacts that reflect ancient astronomy,such as jade objects,painted pottery,shell figurines,and various patterns,are early materialized forms of civilization and of art.The answer to the origin of art lies therein.
