摘 要:“观众调查”对于博物馆实践的价值是什么?2024年底,劳特里奇(Rout ledge)出版社正式出版了Insights from Visitor Studies:A Purpose-oriented Model for Museums(《洞见观众:致力于博物馆的目标导向模型》,以下简称“《洞见观众》”)一书。该书首次将观众研究与评估的价值问题作为核心目标,通过建构该领域的外部范畴与内部结构,清晰地呈现了在过去100余年的学术发展脉络中,当代的博物馆实践可以从中获得怎样的支持。为了解决这一问题,《洞见观众》提出了一种以目标导向为核心的“PSD模型”,即Purpose(目的)、Standpoint(立场)、Dimension(维度)三要素框架。作者认为,PSD提供了一种理解观众研究与评估的明确路径。对于研究者而言,能够有效建立起对于该领域研究对象及其关联性的系统认知;对于实践者来说,PSD模型提供了一个“观众调查”的使用指南,以一种更加直观的方式建立起该领域同实践需求之间的关系。本文是该书序言的中文翻译,可以有助于读者直观了解该书的整体脉络与核心观点。What is the value of visitor studies for museum practice?At the end of 2024,Routledge officially published Insights from Visitor Studies:A Purpose-oriented Model for Museums.This book is the first to place the question of the value of visitor research and evaluation at its core.By constructing an external framework and internal structure for this field,it clearly demonstrates the ways in which contemporary museum practice can benefit from over a century of academic development in visitor studies.To address this issue,the book introduces the PSD model-Purpose,Standpoint,and Dimension-as a purpose-oriented framework.The author argues that PSD offers a clear path for understanding visitor research and evaluation.For researchers,it enables the systematic comprehension of the objects of study and their interrelationships within the field.For practitioners,the PSD model serves as a guide for implementing visitor evaluation,establishing a more intuitive connection between visitor studies and practical needs.This article is the Chinese translation of the book's preface and aims to provide readers with a concise understanding of the overall structure and core arguments of the book.
