摘　　要：英国新浪漫主义作家罗伯特·史蒂文森的代表作《金银岛》是全世界流传最广的海盗探险小说之一,整部小说充分流露着主人公对海盗、寻宝、海上探险的热爱与神往。该文以《金银岛》为例,从对大海的向往、对冒险精神的追求和对财富的渴望三个方面来解读西方人长久以来怀有深刻的"海盗情结"的原因所在,以及这种情结所产生的各种影响。Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson is one of the most popular and thrilling pirate exploration novels in the literature history. The whole story signifies human beings’zest and admiration for treasures, pirates and sea explorations. The present paper takes Treasure Island as an example to percept the roots of western'pirate complex'from three aspects: the longing for the sea, the spirit of adventure and the desire of treasures. It also tries to analyze various influences caused by the'piratecom plex'.
