摘　　要：英、汉拟人修辞格的定义、对象、手段和文化因素均有各自特别的内涵与共同的地方,即英汉拟人修辞格具有共性和差异。A contrastive study of English and Chinese personification shows that they have similarities and disparities in definition, target,means and cultural factors,The origin and nature of personification is also discussed.
