摘　　要：英语中有关健康、疾病和死亡等身体状况的表达方法为数众多,在不同情况下,人们会以不同的措词或方法谈论这些话题。认真研究身体状况的语用表达,有助于透过语言现象了解更深远的文化意蕴,从而加深对英语语言和文化的理解,提高跨文化交际的能力。People's physical conditions ,such as health ,illness and death can be expressed in many ways in English. In different circumstances, people may employ various expressions and methods to talk about these topics. A careful study of the pragmatic expression of physical conditions may help comprehend the profound cultural connotations in English and improve people's cross-cultural communication.
