摘　　要：本文采用抽样问卷调研方法 ,收集了天津市高校图书馆馆员素质的现状、培训需求等方面的数据 ,采用SPSS对这些数据进行了描述性和推断性统计分析。研究发现被调查者对自身的心理素质和自学能力感到自信 ,但对其他方面的知识与技能普遍认为自己掌握得不够。多数馆员迫切希望接受计算机知识、图书馆自动化及外语知识的培训。This paper reports on a questionnaire study to explore the current situation of librarian competence and their training needs in academic libraries in Tianjin.Statistical procedure such as Chisquare was applied in data analysis.Conclusions regarding the current situation of librarians' competence,relationships between librarians' personal background on the one hand,and their competence and training needs on the other hand,were drawn.Suggestions for future improvement were proposed.
