摘　　要：本文对参考咨询服务的产生、价值和服务模式作了简要的论述,指出不同类型的图书馆可采用不同的服务模式,最佳的参考咨询服务模式只能在实践中逐步形成和完善。The paper gives a short treatment of the emergence, value and pattern of library reference service. It argues that a library of a distinct type may adopt its own pattern of reference service for community service in line with its unique condition and that the optimal pattern of reference service can only be found and improved through practice.
