摘　　要：N(动 )ofNP结构是科技英语中一种常见结构。从表层结构看 ,该结构的ofNP为N(动 )的定语 ,但在深层结构上 ,它具有多种含义。本文在借鉴他人研究成果的基础上尝试通过一些典型例句对科技英语N(动 )ofNP结构的一些常见的深层含义以及汉译方法作一探讨。The N(deverbal noun) of NP structure is easily found in EST.In the surface structure of this form,'of NP'is the postmodifier of 'N',but in the deep structure, the N of NP form has many meanings.Based on the studies of others who have explored this question,this paper uses a number of examples to discuss the connotative meanings of the N of NP form.Some common methods of translating the connotative meanings into Chinese are also described.
