在文化的对立中徘徊——《茫茫藻海》中的矛盾书写

摘　　要：《茫茫藻海》讲述了两个异族女人被逼疯的过程。废奴法令颁布,她们是受此影响的第一代殖民者,袒露在不再受保护的殖民地。殖民者的衰弱自他们的父辈已见端倪,这三代殖民者是即将崩溃的异域殖民者社会在废奴法令颁布前后的缩影,在他们的身上体现出殖民文化与被殖民文化、白人文化与黑人文化的对立与冲突,以及殖民者后裔的文化身份的寻求。在相对立的文化阵营中矛盾的书写体现了在两种对立文化环境中成长起来的作者真实的精神状态和文化抉择。The Wide Sargasso Sea tells a story how two foreign women driven mad. These two women are the first colonists influenced by the Slavery Abolition Act and no longer protected in the colony. The colonists’ weakness is rooted from their parents, the three generations are the microcosm of society that just like the collapse after the Slavery Abolition Act enacted. They show the confrontation and conflict between the colonial culture and the indigenous culture, the white culture and the black culture, and the seeking for the cultural identity of the descents. Such a contradictory writing in the relative cultural camp reflects the true spiritual state and cultural choice of the author who has grown up in two opposing cultural environments.
