摘　　要：象征性是康拉德小说中的重要艺术特征。在他的代表作《黑暗的心》中,这种象征性主要体现在光线、环境和人物三个方面。这些象征与故事情节的巧妙结合,使小说的"追寻"主题呈现出一种诗意化的效果,并完成了殖民者或"文明"的自我审判,同时折射出康拉德对人类前途的迷茫和困惑。Symbolic meaning is the central art character in Conrad 's novel. In the novel of Heart of Darkness the symbolic meaning mainly embodies beam, surroundings and character. The symbolic meaning and the novel with a complicated plot make the theme of a search show a poetic effect and complete a selftrial of colonist or 'civilization'. And they can also refract Conrad 's puzzle and confusion of the future.
