摘　　要：党的十六大报告在阐明文化建设与民族精神的相互影响和作用方式的同时 ,提出了发展先进文化的明确要求和任务 ,具有重要的理论和实践意义。民族精神的孕育和生成 ,必然受社会文化尤其是传统文化价值观的深刻影响 ;弘扬和培育民族精神是文化建设的重要内容。在认识文化建设与民族精神问题上 ,要有科学的态度 ,应防止和克服虚无主义和教条主义两种错误倾向。The report at the 16 th CPC National Congress elaborated the mutual influence and mode of function of cultural construction and national spirit. At the same time, it put forward clear requirement and task for developing advanced culture, which is of important theoretical and practical significance. The breeding and forming of national spirit are bound to be greatly influenced by social culture, especially traditional cultural value. To develop and cultivate national spirit is the important content of cultural construction. A scientific attitude is needed in understanding the issue of cultural construction and national spirit, and two erroneous tendencies of nihilism and dogmatism should be avoided.
