摘　　要：本文主要包括两个部分。第一部分讨论HPSG的基本原理。首先介绍用以描写自然语言符号的特征结构;然后解释一组制约短语和句子合格性的普遍原则。第二部分应用HPSG的基本原理描写一些较为复杂的语言事实。此外,本文还对HPSG的创始人就这一理论所做的最新修订工作作了简要的说明。This paper mainly consists of two parts. Part one addresses the fundamental notions in HPSG. It starts with the introduction of feature structures, which model the signs of natural languages. It then introduces to the reader the set of universal principles proposed to constrain the well-formedness of phrases and sentences. Part two concerns itself with the application of these notions and principles to the description of some of the language facts that have resisted an easy treatment. This paper also briefly mentions the work the founders are currently doing to update their theory.
