摘　　要：档案是历史的原始记录,是人类智慧的结晶,随着科学技术的发展,知识经济的到来,高校档案的价值功能将更为突出。高校档案在高校的改革发展中具有维护历史真实面貌的功能;档案在服务学校发展和师生员工的过程中具有凭证功能;在学校的重大决策中具有影响决策的参谋功能;在教学、科研、管理活动中它记录了大量的事实,能发挥很好的借鉴功能;高校档案是知识的载体,是文化的承传者,具有引导人们积极向上的激励功能。Archives are the original history records and the crystallization of human wisdom.With the devebpment of science and technol- ogy and the coming of knowledge economy,the value and function of higher schools' archives are becoming more and more important.In the reformation and development of universities and colleges,archives play the role of preserving the real contents of history.They have the function of proof during serving the school and the whole staff.Further more,archives can iriflunce the important policy decision.A host of facts about the activities of teaching,science researching and managing are recorded,which can give the full pay to reference. Higher schools' archives are the carrier of knowledge and the successor of culeure.They can lead the public to be active and make progress.
