薛宝钗名寓“分离”说补笺

摘　　要：“宝钗”一语 ,从“吉祥”义 ,变异为“分离”义。盖钗为两股分叉 ,故以隐喻夫妻、情侣的　　离异。薛宝钗为“金陵十二钗”之首 ,“金陵十二钗”最后都以“分离”“离异”“死别”The phrase meaning of Baochai comes from the characters “Jixang” (happiness), and it is changed into “Fenli”(Seperation) in “Dream of the Red Maxsions”“Chai”(hairpin) in Chinese usually means two forks. Therefore,seperation between husband and wife,or betweenl lovers.Xue Baochai ranlced the first among the total twelve Hairpins(twelve beauties) of “Jinling” in “Dream of the Red Mansions, and as we know, the fates of all the twelve beauties were trgic.”
