摘　　要：外语教学的目标是培养学生使用目的语进行交际的能力。成功地运用语言进行交际 ,单靠语言知识是不够的 ,还必须具备相应的语用能力。在外语教学中应用语用学知识 ,既能让学生了解语言的形式结构 ,也能让学生根据语境恰当、得体、灵活地使用语言。语用学理论对外语教学实践具有指导意义 ,能够解决外语教学中因文化差异而引起的一系列语用失误问题 ,显著提高学生的话语理解和交际能力。The ultimate purpose of teaching is to develop students'communicative competence.Successful language communication depend not only on language knowledge,but on pragmatic competence.Pragmatic knowledge enables students to understand language forms and to use language appropriately in certain contexts.Pragmatics has significance in language forms,contexts,interpretation of conversational implicature,and in cultural mistakes in EFL teaching will be the more effective way to improve students'language and cross_cultural communicative competence.
