摘 要:建设一个适应远程多媒体交互式教学的远程教育网络是一项复杂的系统工程,涉及到教学模式、技术路线、网络环境等诸多因素。目前在远程教育网络体系建设方面还缺乏深入研究。 本文首先论述了建设一个IP宽带远程教育网络的基本设计原则与策略,分析了应该遵循的目标原则、总体目标、规划实施方法、统一的TCP/IP协议、层次化的网络结构、基本性能、安全策略与光纤网络策略。其次比较了目前IP宽带骨干网络中使用的IP/ATM、IP/SDH、IP/DWDM的传输技术,分析了构建Intranet VPN的GRE、IPSec、MPLS的技术与MPLS的技术优势;提出了利用IP MPLS VPN与IP/DWDM技术组建骨干网络、利用SDH技术组建汇聚层的城域网、利用千兆以太网构建接入层的校园网的IP宽带远程教育网络的基础架构。文章最后提出了ASP集中式的服务模式,集中地提供管理、信息、资源与应用服务;设计了由运行、信息、资源、培训、教学服务支持、网络运营六大中心组成的核心管理服务体系,并以统一数据库、统一的技术平台、统一的数据标准与资源格式等来提供基本的Internet公共服务、统一门户网站、数字化图书与资源等服务;简述了由IP视频会议系统、交互式WEB教学平台等所组成的多媒体学习环境的构成。本文还给出了一个具体应用的例子。The development of a distance education network for multimedia interactive teaching is a complicated task which involves work on a systemic level. Factors such as teaching models, information technology and online environment are all involved. However, research has been limited in this area. This paper first puts forward a number of principles and strategies for the construction of an IP broadband distance education network. The aspects examined include: guiding principles, overarching aims, implementation methods, unified TCP/IP protocol, multi-layer network structure, basic functions, security considerations and optic fiber network. In the next section, the author provides a comparison among the various technologies such as IP/ATM, IP/SDH and IP/DWDM in the existing IP broadband backbone network; and an analysis of the strengths of GRE, IPSec, MPLS technologies which make up the Intranet VPN. This leads to the suggestion that IP MPLS VPN and IP/DWDM technologies should be utilized to construct the backbone network and SDH technologies should be used to develop a convergent intranet. Moreover, gigabit Ethernet needs to be integrated into the basic framework of the IP broadband distance education network in the campus network. The last section points out that an ASP centralized service mode should be adopted to allow management, information, resources and application services to be provided on a centralized basis. This can form a core management service system which consists of the elements of administration, information, resources, training, teaching service support and network operation. Student services, portals, digital library and resource banks are then provided through a unified database, technical platform, data standard and resource format. Multi-media learning environments such as an IP teleconferencing systems and interactive web-based teaching platforms are also briefly discussed with concrete examples.
