摘　　要：声调有自己的历史。应用历史比较法于声调的研究,建立调类,可上推祖调和声调的起源,下推今调和方言的声调系统,揭示声调产生和发展变化的历史规律。说声调不能用来进行历史比较的说法是错误的。基于声学的“音响说”不反映声调的历史性质和历史过程,不能取代与历史比较法相关联的音韵学声调研究。A tone has its own history. To study the tone applying historical comparative linguistics to find the original tonal classes is to reveal the origin of the tone system and its historical evolution rules. It's wrong to say that the historical comparative linguistics can't be applied to the study of the tone. The Sonority Theory on the phonation can't be used to explain the history of tones and take place the study of historical comparative phonetics.
