摘　　要：英美文学课是高校英语专业一门重要的传统课程.但是目前处在困境之中,存在课时少、内容多、学生兴趣下降、教师教学方法单调等问题.解决这些问题的唯一办法就是教学改革.English and American Literature is a quite important traditional subject in the curricular for English major students.It,however,is now in a deep water with many contradictions, such as,limited hours,decrease of students' interest in literature,dull methodology.So,teaching reform is the only way out.This paper is to make an analysis of the teaching method of English and American literature.
