摘　　要：China is a big pencil manufacturing country, The annual output of wood pencil reaches 6.5billion,accounting half of the world products. Every year 300,000 cubic meters of wood material is used. This is abig threat to the forest resource. In order to change the situation, numerous pencil manufactures are called to develop new products like paper and plastic pencils or filler pencils, to replace the wood ones.It is believed that these measures will protect the forest resource.
