摘 要:美华女作家谭恩美的英文小说《喜福会》、《灶神之妻》、《灵感女孩》和《接骨师的女儿》 ,以其“讲古”式的叙事策略 ,改写了美国华裔女性长期以来的失语与沉默状态 ,反映了华裔群体对自身文化身份的认知和确立。作品运用“集体的”、“个人的”叙述模式 ,从多方位交互赋权 ,多角度折射出华人们鲜为人知的辛酸历史以及动人复杂的母女关系 ,潜移默化为传授人生经验、传播古老中国文化的有效方式。谭的小说在美国主流文化市场占有重要一席并获得文学界不断关注 ,表明了作品中彰显的华裔女性叙事新体式不可忽视。Amy Tan's four English novels, The Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God's Wife, The Hundred Secret Senses and The Bonesetter's Daughter, with her narrative strategy of 'talk story', rebel against the aphasia and silence long suffered by the Chinese American women and reflect Chinese Americans' searching for and establishing their ethnic and cultural identity. The 'communal' and 'personal' narrative modes help to strengthen the narrative authority and vividly present the moving and subtle mother-daughter relationship and the bitter hidden history of Chinese Americans. Moreover, they are effective means to pass on life experience and the splendid Chinese culture. Tan's novels have won an important place in the American mainstream cultural circle with an increasing attention from the literary circle,and her new narrative mode is well worth attention.
