摘　　要：以印度现代著名作家普列姆昌德短篇小说中"贱民"形象为主要研究对象,试图通过对这类较为独特的文学形象的分析,探寻"贱民"这一印度文学形象的悲剧性格和他们悲剧性命运形成的社会根源及其社会意义。In this paper the main objects of the study are the images of the untouchables described by the famous modern Indian writer,Premchantin his short story-Through the analysis of the special literary images,the writer tries to explore the tragic characters of the untouchables,(the images of Indian literature),the social source of the formation of their tragic fate,and its social significance.
