明清时期太湖地区的蚕桑业发展及其原因

摘　　要：明清时期在全国蚕桑业普遍衰落的情况下 ,太湖地区的蚕桑业生产却得到了长足发展 ,种桑养蚕已成为当地农民的重要生产活动和经济来源。这一时期蚕桑业的发展可分为两个阶段 ,1 8世纪前蚕桑业仅局限于太湖以南和苏州府的部分地区 ,1 8世纪后 ,扩大到太湖以北地区。商品经济的发展、巨大的经济利益。The mulberry industry flourished in Taihu area while it declined in other region in China in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Mulberry planting and silkworm breeding became the most important working activities of farmers and contributed greatly to their income during that time. This paper gives not only a full introduction of development of the mulberry industry but also a thorough analysis of this state of affairs.
