摘　　要：由法国哲学家米歇尔·福柯提出的权力话语理论已被广泛运用于诸多领域,对整个西方文化研究产生了巨大的影响。同时也为翻译研究提供了新的理论视角和研究方法。实际上,翻译不是纯粹的文本间的信息转换,而是一种复杂的由权力话语操控的产物。所以。The theory of power and discourse, put forth by French philosopher Michel Foucault, has been whidely applied in many fields nowadays and has brought great influence on western cultural studies. Meanwhile the theory has also provided a fresh theoretical perpective and study methods for translation studies.In fact, translation is not purely intertextual information transference, but a complicated product manipulated by power and discourse. Therefore the further development of translation studies should be made under the guidence of the theory of power and discourse.
