摘　　要：“见猫—寻猫—想猫—得猫”的简单情节下 ,隐藏的是冰山的八分之七——女主人公自慰自欺自馁自得自恋自怜自嘲的心理波动 ,渴望呵护珍视的情感需求和寂寞无聊的精神状态。独特的露藏技巧造就了一个鲜活的人物形象。因而《雨里的猫》不仅是“冰山原理”的集中体现 ,而且也是海明威创作手段、创作准则和美学思想的完美结合。Seven eighths of the iceberg is hidden under the simple plot of 'seeing the cat, searching the cat,missing the cat and getting the cat'-the heroine's inner feelings experienced from self-consolation,self-deception,discouragement,self-content,self-pity to self-derision,her yearnings to be concerned and valued as well as her mood penetrated with loneliness.It is this unique technique used in the novel that creates the vivid image of a woman. Therefore,Cat in the Rain not only embodies the 'principle of the iceberg',but also combines Hemingway's writing technique,criterion and aesthetic idea.
