摘　　要：介绍了掌上电脑的功能、特点，比较了几种掌上电脑的操作系统及其特点，总结了掌上电脑在教育技术中的应用，分析并预测了掌上电脑在单机和移动教育中可能发挥的作用，最后讨论了开发基于掌上电脑的教育软件应注意的问题。In this article, the function, characteristics and applications of handheld computers in educational technology are introduced. Then, what the handheld can do in both single machine application and mobile education is analyzed. Its future development is predicted as well. At last, some issues on developing the educational software are discussed.
