摘　　要：分析了种次号与著者号两者的优劣及著者号选择的标准 ,建议采用“汉语拼音首字母四角号码著者号” ,并对该著者号的取号方法。To use kind number or author number for library book number? This has been the points at issue for a long time in the circle of libraries. After the advantages and disadvantages of both the numbers as well as the selective standard of the author number has been analyzed, it suggests that the book number should adopt the author number based on the Chinese phonetic initials and the Quadrangle Code of the Chinese characters, and it has thoroughly explained the method, rules and advantages of this number.
