Breast cancer has become the most common cancer among women and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women worldwide. HER2-positive breast cancer is characterized pri-marily by HER2 overexpression, which is also considered to be the second most aggressive subtype. To achieve maximum antitumor activity and benefit more HER2 breast cancer patients, the re-searchers combined the antibody with the cytotoxic drug to form an antibody-drug conjugate. An-tibody-drug conjugate (ADC) are revolutionizing cancer therapy, adding another important new class of systemic therapies. ADC is a specially designed therapy that targets cells expressing specific cancer antigens through targeted antibody drug delivery and the release of cytotoxic chemotherapy payloads. This article will highlight the research advances in several ADCs for the treatment of breast cancer and discuss the opportunities and challenges they present.
